LWC is hosting a beginner’s only tournament on Saturday, October 15th at 3pm at the new facility, located at 6036 S. 27th Ave., Phx 85041. Beginners are wrestlers who have wrestled less than 20 matches.

The cost is $5 if wrestlers pre-register, or $15 if wrestlers register on site. There will be only 72 wrestlers allowed.

Each wrestler should get 3-5 matches. Tournament is open to ages 4-12, with USAW card.

The weight classes will be Madison Style, meaning 4-6 wrestlers of approximately the same size and age will be grouped in a pool, with wrestlers competing within that pool. Spectator admission will be $2 at the door per adult.

Matches will start promptly at 3:30pm. Matches will consist of 3 one minute periods, continuous clock running with 15 second breaks between periods and matches. The tournament should be done within 2 hours, and exhibition matches will be allowed.
