Laveen Wrestling is honored to have once again been invited to participate in District 7’s Star Spangled Memorial Celebration focusing on honoring fallen police officers, fire fighters and veterans that have given the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe. Sadly, this year’s event will have another name to add to it’s rolls with the recent death of Officer Glasser last week in Laveen.
The event features local vendors, non-profits, children’s activities, live music and a fireworks display.
Laveen Wrestling is proud to be one of the local youth sports groups asked to help organize and work this event since it’s inception 3 years ago. The club will once again have an information booth on site. LWC will also be selling concessions. Proceeds from concession sales are split between LWC, Laveen Baseball League, Stampede Football and the 100 Club. The club does need volunteers with current food handlers cards to work.
This is a great evening honoring those who serve. We’d love to see a large turn out of Laveen Wrestling families both to volunteer and attend.
There will also be a photo op with our own Captain America at the LWC booth!
